This position is located in the Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA), Washington, District of Columbia. This position is established to support the successful implementation of various EDA programs and initiatives focused on regional economic development, including research and national technical assistance grants made through EDA's Research and Evaluation and National Technical Assistance (RNTA) programs.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below.

Specialized Experience:
GS-13: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal government, performing the following duties:
  • Assisting in the management of a grants competition or program to ensure compliance with regulations;
  • Managing the pre- and post-approval grant processes;
  • Advising stakeholders on economic development initiatives; and
  • Utilizing a grant search engine such as Grants.gov to research grants.

Background Investigation: To ensure the accomplishment of its mission, the Department of Commerce requires each and every employee to be reliable and trustworthy.
