MIL currently holds several multi-year contracts with NAWCAD in the areas of Cyber, C5ISR, and Information Technology systems.

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Technical Writer, Associate to support a Federal Government client at our Patuxent River, MD location serving as a Management Analyst, Journeyman Level. This position requires the person to apply knowledge of management functions, processes, and analytical methods or techniques to gather, analyze, and evaluate information required by program or project managers and customers. Draws conclusions and devises solutions to problems relating to improvement of management effectiveness, organizational structures, work methods and procedure efficiency, and resource requirements, utilization or control. Develops and drafts program or project milestone, progress monitoring, financial, acquisition, quality control, maintenance, or training documentation. May perform work measurement studies, program or project operations efficiency reviews, cost studies, or workload change impact analyses. Relies upon and uses automated management information systems in performing fact finding, analytical, and advisory functions. May develop or update functional or operational manuals outlining established methods of performing work in accordance with organizational and standardized policies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and maintenance of Cyber Incident Response documents and policies.
  • Coordinate and communicate with logisticians and other government team members to gather and assimilate the data required to develop policy directives, guidebooks, manuals, program/project briefing materials, Executive Briefings and other documentation.
  • Prepare Directives, Memorandums, etc. for distribution by senior staff that will assist the organization to operate more efficiently and effectively.
  • Work closely with government client to evaluate program objectives and establish priorities to ensure schedules are met for all press releases, briefings, reports, and other documentation.
  • Follow NIST standards, guidebooks and procedures for the development of Government Publications and documentation.
  • Develop, assemble, compile and distribute for review high-quality, grammatically correct and error free.

Required Qualifications
  • At least eight (8) years of experience in performing the foregoing functions with respect to DoD programs/projects.
  • Does not require in-depth technical knowledge, but must have sufficient knowledge of cyber policies from a management perspective and be conversant in cybersecurity terminology.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter and have the ability to take ownership of the work.
  • Ability to work in a diverse team environment.

Education

A bachelor's or postgraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, or a business or management discipline such as business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or management information technology. An additional three (3) years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Clearance
