Sr. Associate, Product Management, Income Services & Ability to Pay

As a Product Owner in income Services, you'll partner with business leaders, technical and operation experts, and compliance resources to deliver data and processes that every underwriting decision at Capital One depends on.

Income Services is a cross-functional group of product managers and analysts tasked with the twin goals of ensuring Capital One gets as much value as it can from everything we know about our customer's income, and making sure we do not overextend our customers. We sit within Card ds+, where Machine Learning and credit intersect and drive the economic engine at the heart of Capital One- US Card.

Responsibilities:
  • Continually drive to understand business and stakeholder needs and ensure they are considered in prioritization and trade-off discussions
  • Leverage your broad experience in cloud platforms, data pipelines, and underwriting processes to go deep with technical experts and business leaders alike
  • Set product vision and lead project goal setting, execution, and validation strategies
  • Work across different lines of business inside of Capital One to understand and plan integration of income data and processes
  • Define, socialize, and monitor key performance indicators to understand the evolution and success of the project.
  • Be the steward of an broad product vision and diligently prioritize work to maintain team focus, negotiating with other teams, and tackling blockers where necessary to drive the project to success
  • Establish or participate in Agile, Lean, and Design Thinking methods which establish rhythm for the team, promote ongoing communication, and iterative refinement of roadmaps
  • Leverage critical thinking to ensure the highest quality delivery


The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience building products in a regulated industry, especially banking or consumer credit
  • A track record of defining strategy, creating advocacy/alignment and being accountable for outcomes
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Agile Product Management experience


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of experience translating business strategy and analysis into technical or consumer products


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience translating business strategy into technical or digital products
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile product management
  • 1+ year of experience in data analysis
