Principle Project Manager

As a Project Manager for Capital One's Retail Construction Organization, you will be leading the governance of our Program Management Office's (PMO) policies and procedures on a select portfolio of projects. In this exciting role you will work closely with key stakeholders to deliver results that will have a direct impact on the bottom line of the company. General Responsibilities:

• Plan, facilitate and drive the needed project tollgates to assure that all work processes follow organizational PMO standards
  
• Govern and document work adherence to established, audit-able criteria
  
• Assure that all projects are based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are in line with established criteria at each project phase
  
• Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation
  
• Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery
  
• Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments
  
• Identify ways to improve and streamline business process
  
• Exhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work
  
• Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes
  
• Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands
  
• Display strong consulting and collaboration skills
  

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  
• At least 3 Years Project or Process Management experience
  
• At least 1 year of experience with Lean, Agile or Six Sigma
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of Retail or Commercial Construction Experience
  
• Masters' degree
  
• At least 5 years of Project Management experience
  
• PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
  
• Strong problem solving and influencing skills
  
• Work experience achieving results
