Senior Manager, Process Management

Senior Manager, Process Management, SWM (Sustainably Well Managed) Team

Capital One's Enterprise Payments products are aimed at providing security, control, and reconciliation services to our broad customer base. Through our operations and technology, we enable capabilities that empower our users to move money in support of their businesses while preventing fraudulent transactions and accounting defects.The Enterprise Payments Team in Commercial Banking is looking for an experienced associate to join our Sustainably Well Managed team, responsible for driving process improvements and maintaining a state of audit readiness. Our mission is to be a catalyst and enabler for the business to achieve a sustainably well managed operation.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure appropriate management and awareness of key well managed efforts impacting Enterprise Payments
  • Facilitate a well managed culture throughout Enterprise Payments by assisting in process, program, project, controls, and risk management
  • Coordinate alignment between multiple up and down stream stakeholder groups across all Capital One businesses and second / third line risk and audit teams
  • Lead end-to-end delivery and process transformation
  • Drive business processes forward toward the end-state / destination
  • Identify initiatives required to get from the current state to the end state
  • Assess feasibility and level of effort for process changes required by new products and services and driving implementation
  • Organize initiatives for each business process in a single backlog spanning all teams supporting the process, including product teams
  • Recommend prioritization/sequencing of initiatives
  • Deliver high impact initiatives, including definition, scoping, design, planning, development, launch, and monitoring
  • Ensure all processes meet process management standards, including those for critical business processes
  • Identifying root causes of risk issues and events to drive process improvements mitigating these risks


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
  • At least 5 years of Process and Project Management experience
  • At least 5 years of Risk Management experience
  • At least 2 years of People Management experience
  • At least 5 years experience in Process Improvements, Process Redesign, and Cross-functional problem-solving


Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's Degree or MBA
  • At least 7 years of Process and Project Management experience
  • At least 7 years of Risk Management experience
  • At least 5 years of People Management experience
  • At least 5 years experience in Banking Operations
  • At least 5 years experience managing internal and external audits including interaction with State and Federal regulators
  • At least 7 years experience in Process engineering, design, development, and deployment
