Summary

This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Division of Budget (DOB), Budget Operations Branch (BOB). The Supervisor is Maria Schofer. This is a bargaining unit position. This position requires minimal travel.

Travel expenses associated with interview and/or relocation expenses associated with job offer will not be paid.

Selectee will not be subject to Office of Government Ethics Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

The incumbent for this position will report to the Budget Operations Branch Chief in the Division of Budget. As a Senior Budget Analyst (Group Lead), the selectee will serve as a senior-level Budget Analyst and technical authority responsible for developing and implementing agency-wide policies and procedures to be used in the development of the NRC Budget; coordinating and collaborating on the formulation and submission of the agency's budget to management, the Chairman, the Commission, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB), and Congress; and advising NRC management of significant NRC policy, program, and resource impacts, as a result of leading the extensive agency level review and analysis of budget planning, formulation, and execution activities. The employee in this position serves as a Group Lead for the Budget Policy and Control Numbers Group performing various leadership functions such as coordinating the work of the group; ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule; and training, coaching, and mentoring the staff.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GG-13) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as: experience that has provided the candidate with knowledge of the principles, practices, and processes of Federal budgeting and financial management in order to participate in budget formulation and reporting activities and to conduct analyses in support of these activities; experience in analyzing and presenting complex financial data and making recommendations to senior management.
