Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that guidelines and procedures are aligned with policies established at higher levels in ASFR or DHHS.
  • Assisting in completing analysis of legislative and regulatory proposals, policy issuance, and guidelines to determine consistency with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Working with Contract Officer Representatives (COR) and subject matter experts in the development of grant and contract related documents.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Minimum Qualification requirements as noted below.

Minimum Qualifications:
GS-9: You must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-7 level in the Federal service that includes the following:
  • Applying analytical techniques to compile information;
  • Review internal processes and procedures to identify improvements in efficiency and cost savings;
  • Assisting in research on policy issues; and
  • Compiling data to prepare status reports.
  • Perform administrative support functions
OR two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree; or a combination of the required experience and education for this grade level.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
