Adventist Health Care seeks to hire an experienced Inpatient Social Worker or Registered Nurse who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

As the Inpatient Care SW or RN, you will:
•Complete comprehensive psychosocial assessment and review of clinical needs of patients with focus on patient's requirements as they transition to the next level of care
•Collaborate with physicians, social workers and other disciplines involved with care of the patient to foster a coordinated approach to discharge planning 20%
•Identify and navigate patient testing and treatment to reduce barriers to patient discharge and preventing delays in patient care; communicates barriers to leadership for resolution and trending

SW Qualifications Include:
•Master of Social Work from college or university accredited by the Council of Social Work Education
•Active Maryland Social Worker license required, LCSW-C strongly preferred
•Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
•2-3 years of current discharge planning experience within a hospital case management environment preferred

RN Qualifications Include:
•Bachelor of Science in Nursing
•Minimum of 5 years nursing experience required
•MD RN license
•Prior case management or discharge planning experience is preferred.
•Prior experience with Cerner EMR and All Scripts is preferred

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm with occasional weekends

In order to promote and maintain a healthy work environment, Adventist HealthCare will not hire applicants for employment who either state that they are nicotine users or who test positive for nicotine and drug use.

While some jurisdictions, including Maryland, permit the use of marijuana for medical purposes, marijuana continues to be classified as an illegal drug under the federal Controlled Substances Act. As a result, medical marijuana use will not be accepted as a valid explanation for a positive drug test result.

Adventist HealthCare will withdraw offers of employment to applicants who test positive for Cotinine (nicotine) and marijuana. Those testing positive are given the opportunity to re-apply in 90 days, if they can truthfully attest that they have not used any nicotine products in the past ninety (90) days and successfully pass follow-up testing.
