You will serve as an ELETRONIC INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS MECHANIC in the Installation & Environment Division, Public Works Branch of MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO.

Responsibilities

• You will perform pretest, operational (functional), and final testing, alignment, and/or calibration of complex electronic control systems, components, and/or subassemblies.
• You will service electronically controlled industrial equipment by performing duties such as lubricating components, aligning and tightening loose connections, examining for wear and tear, and replacing worn out parts and unserviceable components.
• You will install, overhaul, repair, fabricate, modify, and test electronically controlled industrial equipment such as heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning systems, power, timing, and motion controls, and boiler combustion control systems.
• You will analyze heating and cooling system issues to provide recommendations for complete system update, extension, reduction, by-pass, and/or replacement.
• You will work on devices found in process controls such as sensing, recording, and dispensing chemicals to maintain a desired mixture, production equipment such as ultrasonic cleaners, and electron beam welders.
• You will repair materials handling equipment such as digital weighers, laser readers, electronic counters, and automatic/manual controls of fork lifts, or other warehouse vehicles.

• You will be required to discern between colors, contrast, and depth.
• You will be required to wear all personal protective equipment (including respiratory protection respirator) required of the trade/shop.

Ability to perform the duties of the position without more than normal supervision which includes performing the common Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic tasks such as interpreting and applying engineering drawings, schematics, and diagrams in order to trace signal flow through electronic systems. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level Electronic Industrial Controls Mechanic who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
