The CFO will oversee the overall financial management of the company. They will be responsible for executing the end-to-end budgeting and forecasting processes for the company, driving improvements in monthly reporting and analysis, and generating actionable strategic insights from financial and operational data.   • Responsible for operational accounting management over a multi-entity real estate enterprise
  • Supervise the preparation of all financial statements and reports;
  • Evaluate financial risk and develop plans and strategies to minimize risk and contain exposure
  • Analyze market and economic trends and study their impact on company's future sales and growth
  • Coordination on internal finance metrics / weekly financial reporting to department heads
  • Research, analyze, and present benchmarking data that will advise all financial decisions
  • Provide leadership and vision to ensure the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures
  • Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into the organization's plans and operating budget
  • Recognize growth and expansion opportunities; identify areas of reorganization or elimination
  • Oversee/manage relationships with external entities including banks, investment advisors, licensing and accrediting organizations, and external auditors

Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
  • Active CPA License required
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience in the multi-family real-estate industry
  • Third-party property management and affordable housing experience is desired
  • Multi-site and multi-state operations knowledge is a plus
  • Experience with MRI, Yardi or other large industry accounting systems preferred
  • Solid technical skills; ability to use databases and extract/manipulate data
  • Cultivate successful profitable relationships with the ability to leverage networks, lead teams and prove strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas and recommendations
  • Proficient with technical and report writing with ability to think critically and analytically
