Job Details
Sparks Group has partnered with a local, long standing credit union in their search for a Mortgage Support Officer. This position requires someone who has prior industry experience, ideally in home equity, FHA, VA and conventional guidelines for mortgage origination and servicing. Responsibilities:
- Originates and processes all servicing required functions for mortgage loans
- Works closely with customers to determine priorities and provide exceptional service
- Processes and finalizes purchase advises for cash sales to investors. Maintains and reconciles custodial accounts.
- Manages personal customer portfolios for a small credit union
- Prepares and reviews quarterly statements and annual tax statements for first mortgages.
Qualifications/Background Profile:
- Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years of prior industry experience specific to mortgage servicing
- Ability to work on-site at the Washington, D.C.-based office
- Exceptional customer service skills required
- Must have working knowledge of home equity, FHA, VA and conventional guidelines for mortgage loan origination and servicing as well as applicable laws and regulations related to lending (e.g. Truth-in-Lending, HMDA, RESPA, ECOA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and Bank Secrecy Act)
- Knowledge of Encompass software preferred
