Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Informatics Specialist - Physician Liaison who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

The Informatics Specialist - Physician Liaison applies expert knowledge of health care to the management of data and information for physician/provider informatics support. The informatics Specialist is an integral part of a team that is responsible for planning, maintaining, testing and supporting the clinical information system (Care Excellence/Cerner Millennium). This includes cross-selling of hospital services and coordination of special physician programs (new staff orientation, and problem solving assistance, etc.)

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in healthcare field required
• Experience with Cerner Millennium CPOE preferred
• Computer proficiency in EHR, Windows, inter/intranet environments, and Microsoft Suite applications
• Certification in field within 1 year of employment
• Comprehensive communication and listening skills required. Able to probe for appropriate insights and information in conversations.
• Understands and can convey technical information to physicians.
• Awareness and ability to respond quickly to health care technology changes, and a desire to conceive and carry out innovative solutions.
• Proficient in database development and maintenance and is comfortable performing basic quantitative analysis.
• Possesses excellent communication skills and is extremely articulate.
• Demonstrated ability to be self-directed
• Project management skills
• Strong leadership and organization skills
