The senior research analyst plays a critical role in collecting and providing audience insights to stakeholders throughout The Washington Post organization and to key external partners. This person will be responsible for managing all aspects of qualitative and quantitative research projects.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Designing and implementing research methodologies
- Drawing insights from research data to help clients make smart business decisions
- Creating and delivering informative and engaging presentations on research findings
- Developing ideas for and executing consumer and B2B research for Thought Leadership studies to be provided to high-value advertising partners
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO OUR TEAM:
Minimum qualifications
- Master's Degree
- 4+ years of experience in primary research for a vendor or corporation
- Proficient in managing all phases of quantitative research projects from questionnaire design to data analysis and reporting
- Extensive experience with Excel, PowerPoint, SPSS (or similar data analysis tool), and Qualtrics (or other online survey tool)
- You know how to identify and prioritize critical activities and act with appropriate urgency.
- You demonstrate grace under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- You maintain a dedication to data accuracy and quality.
- You enjoy thinking creatively about how to best tackle challenging research objectives.
- You can easily adapt your communication style based on a client's level of research understanding.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working on advertising effectiveness or other advertising related research
- Experience conducting B2B survey research and/or interviews
- Experience working in/with the media industry
