DCS Corporation is seeking an Acquisition Management Specialist to assist an Army Product Manager at Aberdeen, MD in advancing a system through MIlestone C approval and beyond.

Essential Job Functions:

Work within DOD 5000.1, 5000.2, Federal Acquisition Regulation and other related DOD/Army guidance for compliance.

Develop/draft acquisition documentation to ensure overall program compliance with applicable federal acquisition laws, regulations, and policies.

Develop plans/objectives for assigned systems acquisition projects and contracts to meet program and acquisition milestones

Research current DOD (to include DOD 5000.1 and 5000.2), DA, AMC, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and local policy to decide appropriate policy and procedures in relation to current projects, tasking, issues and concerns.

Provides direction, assistance, and support for all operations and activities under the authority of the APM.

Prepare long-range planning and schedules to ensure deadlines are complete to maintain organization mission.

Serve as the lead for developing and staffing acquisition documents, approaches or techniques to achieve program objectives.

Serve on or lead the efforts of various committees, meetings, work-groups, and process action teams.

Coordinate with internal and external organizations and offices engaged in the development and implementation of plans and objectives.

Review program management schedules and status to include development efforts, testing information, contracting and production status, acquisition logistics support strategy, and funding status submitted against the established program objectives.

Coordinate a variety of tasking for projects that relate to the acquisition life cycle phases to meet deadlines.

Provide guidance in effective methods to resolve problems and correct deficiencies quickly to assure the PM's objectives are met.

Coordinates a variety of projects relating to the different functions in the life cycle phases to include but not limited to planning, developing, testing, contracting, producing, logistics support, and disposing of a given weapon system.

Provide presentations to the Command level concerning all aspects of the acquisition program.

Generate reports, documents, and briefing packages using various Microsoft Office tools.

Required Skills:

Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Bachelor's degree plus 8 years experience.

Secret clearance is required.

Must have a strong understanding of DoD 5000 Acquisition Process and creation of Milestone documentation.

Desired Skills:

Experience with agile or non-traditional DoD acquisition a plus.
