Summary

NJVC, LLC

NJVC is currently seeking a cleared Database Developer located in Fort Meade, MD.

Responsibilities
  • Perform as the technical expert with thorough understanding of the business application of an assigned project.
  • Perform as a project lead with the responsibility for the instruction, assigning, direction, and monitoring of the performance of assigned software developers working on a specific project.
  • Assist in the scheduling and coordinating of projects and may be involved in the design phase of a project.
  • Work with customers and technical staff in the resolution of software problems and respond to suggestions for software modifications or enhancements.
  • Participate in the development of software user manuals.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
  • Bachelor's degree (in Computer Science or related field)
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with C++ or comparable object-oriented language (e.g., Java)
  • Experience with SQL Server or comparable SQL database (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, etc.)
  • SENTINEL web application (US ARMY) experience
  • Experience at developing web applications that incorporate HTML, JavaScript, jQuery & CSS, at a minimum.
  • Certification in SQL server and any other specific software associated with the system
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting
  • Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals
  • Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, and experience working in a home office setting as well as the ability to train end users on frequently asked technical issues.
  • Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills, professional demeanor, previous customer service experience strongly desired.
  • Good problem-solving skills; ability to visualize a problem/situation and think abstractly to solve it
