Arc Publishing is a fast-growing component of the Washington Post that is helping organizations around the world reinvent their digital presence with the same tools that power the Washington Post. Arc's Professional Services team enables Arc customers to achieve their goals by streamlining their onboarding experience and optimizing the solutions they build on the Arc Platform.
As a Senior Technical Delivery Manager, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Manage multiple teams including internal and external resources in the solution design, development, and delivery of client deliverables in accordance with a statement of work.
- Mentor other Technical Delivery Managers in delivering to clients.
- Serve as Delivery Lead on larger client engagements in which you will hold accountability for the delivery of the project, and serve as an escalation point for clients.
- Own financial budget for individual projects and work closely with clients to set expectations on their monthly invoices.
- Articulate status, manage risk, and escalate issues when needed.
- Contribute to improvements and own key areas of the Professional Services delivery framework.
- Contribute to service definition going as Arc's Professional Services team evolves.
The ideal candidate:
- You have worked in a consulting environment with external clients, including senior and executive stakeholders, and have experience driving them towards a common goal.
- You've managed or mentored others before, or want to.
- You have experience building and refining delivery frameworks as well as service offerings.
- You are passionate about customer success.
- You have worked with large or enterprise customers before, and know the ins and outs of adapting to meet customer needs.
- You have a passion for digital products, and are able to converse with stakeholders at a high level about them.
- You've led large-scale web software development projects, and have an understanding of how multiple work-streams come together to make a final product.
- You want to collaborate with a talented and supportive team focused on delivering high-quality websites to major organizations, and helping them take advantage of Arc's suite of products.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a natural inclination towards challenging yourself.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree required; PMP certification is a plus
- 5-7 years of experience; preferably consulting, project management, or implementing client solutions
- May involve traveling up to 50%
- Product and project management experience with integration programs and technologies is a plus (e.g., services-oriented architecture, enterprise service business, cloud integration platform and API-management platform)
- Strong organizational, creative problem-solving, and collaborative skills
- Proven ability to interact effectively at all levels within an organization
- Strong analytical, oral and written communication, and presentation skills
