Company is seeking a VP, Sales and Marketing who has deep experience in residential leasing programs in both affordable housing and market rate properties. The VP, Sales and Marketing will provide oversight and direction for all leasing and marketing initiatives, ensuring the overall company objectives are met. The VP, Sales and Marketing will represent the company in communications with city and state agencies, applicants, and Company partners. Responsibilities: Strategically develop and implement marketing and leasing concepts and functions for the portfolio Train leasing department to successfully handle deal intake, application review and approvals on behalf of the Company Revamp and manage the leasing process of new and existing tenants Review and approve submission of paperwork and files for agency approval Develop, submit, and present marketing plans for agency approval Review and coordinate the submission of applicant files for regulatory agency approval and coordinate with said agencies to implement new lease up strategies Communicate regularly with housing agencies, keeping up to date with any changes or adjustments to local and state laws and regulations Work closely with internal Compliance team to ensure all occupancy standards are being met with local, state, and federal rules as it pertains to affordable housing, LIHTC and subsidy programs Supervise application lotteries together with government agencies Train and supervise daily operations of the department and ensure staff compliance with all regulatory requirements Work with CFO to prepare annual plan and budget to successfully market and lease vacancies Ensure functioning systems are in place to fulfill leasing initiatives, on schedule Identify any improvements needed to streamline and strengthen existing processes, and develop new initiatives to streamline internal workflow Oversee Marketing and Leasing teams on existing and future projects Recruit and retain staff Requirements The ideal candidate will have: 10 years experience in sales and marketing management 10 years experience in working with affordable housing, LIHTC, Section 8, Senior Living and HUD Certified Tax Credit Specialist / Certified Occupancy Specialist is preferred Detail oriented and organized Superior writing and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to coach, train and retain talent Ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Yardi
