Position Description *Responsible for ensuring that the government's information security assets are reliable, available, provide confidentiality, and are generally safe from unauthorized use and intrusion.*Strong knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF), as well as conducting vulnerability assessments, and recommending information system security policies and procedures.*Strong knowledge and experience in applying policy based on the DoD Information Assurance Program, DoDI 8500.01-M.*Working knowledge of IAVA mitigation, testing, and deployment.*Experience with configuring information system protective devices and software such as intrusion detection system, anti-virus software, etc.*Experience with maintaining and implementing Host Based Security System (HBSS)*Experience with incident resolution, conducting risk assessments, and mitigating IA Risks.*Experience recommending and implementing policies and procedures to ensure adherence to security standards.*Experience with researching new technologies and recommending technology solutions; interfacing with other technical professionals as required; and ensuring integrity, availability, confidentiality, and security of information systems.*Requires DoD Clearance (secret), per Federal stipulation*Requires 8570 Certifications IT-II.
