Mechanical Engineer I - II (Manufacturing, Systems/Design)Anne Arundel County, MD - Near BWI AirportLong-Term, Full-TimeSalary: Negotiable with applicable experienceFor consideration, apply here OR email a copy of your resume directly to Josh Mathis at (Sr. Technical Recruiter, Aerotek)POSITION SCOPE/SUMMARYIndividual hired for this position will be responsible for the following:Researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.Designs, builds, and implements improvements to production processes such as jigs, fixtures, and assembly automation.Improves product designWork hand in hand with design engineers and manufacturing operations to develop lean processes for materials management, assembly, and shipping of products.Perform product maintenance & design improvements on pre-defined products through ECR/ECO execution.Employs Configuration Management (CM) principles to engineering documentation related to product release for manufacturing.Identifies cost savings opportunities through production process improvements.Acts as designated manufacturing engineer on product launch teams.IDEAL QUALIFICATIONSB.S in Mechanical Engineering3-5 years' experience in a related engineering fieldStrong mechanical and analytical abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.A self-managed individual who is a team player.Located in Maryland and work primarily at production facility.Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D drawing.An understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes.Computer proficiency in MS office.Travel required (5%) for equipment installation, start-up or troubleshooting, and various training opportunities.Willing and able to work with tools in an industrial environment.About Aerotek: Your success starts with the right career opportunity.
