The Leidos Innovation Center (LInC) is seeking you, our next Senior Windows System Engineer in Bethesda, MD to work with an all-star team working on an exciting mission to help our Nation support the Department of Homeland Security to catch bad guys. Help us provide technical systems administration, configuration, and troubleshooting in support of an on-premise government system, to include system testing, system setup, installation, configuration, support and maintenance, including associated hardware in Bethesda, MD. Work on new system updates, as well as support on current systems by tuning performance, allocating storage space, and implementing critical system patches working with a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and analysts leading the integration and deployment of the National Media Exploitation center (NMEC) DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) for a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) network. The fun stuff you will be doing is working closely with other infrastructure and network engineers, system engineers and O&M team members on the following key tasks:- Support the design, testing, deployment and maintenance of Enterprise Windows Servers, backup solutions, and storage solutions. - Develop automation of routine operational and maintenance procedures- Support troubleshooting of operational and lab systems- Develop deployment documentation and operational procedures- Perform system backup and restores- Apply system patches and upgrades- Monitor systems and servers to ensure optimal performance This is you:- Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree- Must have Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph- Experience with Windows system design, maintenance, high availability and troubleshooting - Experience building and managing systems within VMware - Experience with Citrix- Experience with WAN/LAN principles, network hardware/protocols (ethernet adapters, routers, switches, cabling)- Good knowledge of Active Directory with experience in managing AD, DNS, GPO's and DHCP - Good knowledge of server virtualization (VMWare 6.5 or later)- Must be able to obtain within 6 months of hire your DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification - CompTIA Security+ You will wow us even more if you have these skills:- Experience with the design and implementation of backup solutions- Experience with the design and implementation of storage solutions (SAN, vSAN)- Experience with SCCM or Endpoint Configuration Manager- Experience with basic Identity Access Management- Experience with enterprise level architecture design and development- Experience with container technologies- Experience with multiple scripting/programming languages (eg, Python, PowerShell, VBscript, etc.)- Experience with Microsoft Remote Desktop Services (RDS)- Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificate authority (CA) configuration and IdAM- Experience deploying and configuring McAfee Host Based Security System (HBSS)- Good Debugging Skills and troubleshooting skills- Good written and oral communication skills- General knowledge of virtualized Linux environments (Red Hat, CentOS)- Familiar with JIRA and Confluence D3P LInCExternal Referral ProgramExternal Referral Bonus:EligiblePotential for Telework:NoClearance Level Required:Top SecretTravel:Yes, 10% of the timeScheduled Weekly Hours:40Shift:DayRequisition Category:ProfessionalJob Family:Systems Administration Leidos is a Fortune 500(R) information technology, engineering, and science solutions and services leader working to solve the world's toughest challenges in the defense, intelligence, homeland security, civil, and health markets.
