Job Description Position Description CGI is actively seeking a GIS System Administrator to support a geospatial environment that will enable clients to perform cost-conscious and effective digital mapping research and analysis with state-of-the-industry geospatial tools and services, using authoritative data. Support an end-to-end system to ingest digital content, index it, and make it accessible using ArcGIS Desktop Suite, ArcGIS Online, and Voyager Search. This is a long term position and work will primarily take place at client facilities in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Potentially remote during COVID. #CGIFederalJob Your future duties and responsibilities Provide applications and administrative operational support services for: o(1) Esri toolset (all currently installed and future Esri products, including Desktop, Server, Portal, Web Adaptor, others ) ; ArcGIS Online instance o(2) Voyager Search Ensure the COTS applications and supporting scripts in the environment conform to security policies (eg, password change) and support any application configuration changes necessary. Ensure the COTS applications in the environment are gracefully brought down and restarted for any planned maintenance activities that require downtime to the servers. Upgrade the COTS applications identified above in the environment. Maintain system documentation and operational procedures of the environment and update as required. Deploy additional instances of the COTS applications on provisioned hardware. Assist in identifying system growth and developing planning documents. Work with Esri and/or Voyager technical support on deploying cloud-based instances of vendor software on vendor infrastructure. Coordinate upgrades for Esri and Voyager to support technologies such as operating systems or databases. Update all related environment Systems and Operations Documents. Required qualifications to be successful in this role US citizen Minimum 4 years expertise with installing, deploying and maintaining Esri ArcGIS Desktop, Server and Portal software in MS Windows Server/IIS environment; ArcGIS Portal administration Knowledge of powershell Knowledge of python scripting Desired Skills: Experience deploying and maintaining Voyager Search What you can expect from us Build your career with us.
