Job Description Meet our professionals CGI: A company committed to clients Position Description The Health and Compliance group at CGI Federal is looking for a candidate to join our existing project team with diverse technical background that focuses on delivering high quality, high-value solutions using various technologies. As an integral member of our delivery team, the Senior Database Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of mission-critical application. The candidate will join a dedicated team with a culture of sharing knowledge, and goal oriented individuals. The project utilizes a variety of design and development techniques to respond to client demands for meeting the challenges of healthcare reform and open government directives. CGI Federal provides in-depth functional and technical expertise, offering clients a focused set of solutions that help federal health organizations to become more productive, cost-effective, secure and service-oriented. Your future duties and responsibilities Design and develop database schemas and maintain database users. Design and develop database objects including stored procedures, functions, triggers and views. Perform data analysis, create adhoc user-data reports using SQL developer/Oracle SQL*Plus. Work with Configuration management to maintain version of database objects using versioning tools such as BitBucket, prepare and deploy database packages. Perform Capacity/Infrastructure planning for future business needs Review AWR reports and provide recommendations for performance tuning for Oracle database/SQL queries. Understand business and application requirements, develop and maintain data models using data modeling tools such as ErWin Work with External partners, manage and resolve issues/incidents. Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues Effectively communicate with business and technology partners, peers and stakeholders Ability to deliver results under demanding timelines to real-world business problems Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively Required qualifications to be successful in this role Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Information Technology 6+ years of Database Development experience Proficient with Oracle database (19c), developing SQL, PL/SQL, Functions and Procedure Proficient with SQL/SQL*Plus including the ability to reverse engineer existing code Proficient with ErWin Hands-on experience designing and developing data solutions for reporting, transformation or business analytics Experience reviewing and developing object and data models, and the metadata repository to structure the data for better management and quicker access Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail Be able to: Prioritize, multitask, meet deadlines, and coordinate schedules with others Produce documentation, follow process, and possess good organizational skills Strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communications skills Ability to work well under pressure and demonstrate commitment to quality and client satisfaction Ability to work independently and conduct self-directed research DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS List items desired for the Candidate, but not required.
