Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with CFM and OALC organizations on 425 I Street building management issues. Liaisons with General Services Administration regarding tenant and lease issues concerning building occupancy. Attends monthly meetings as a member of the tenant committee.
  • Responsible for analyzes, coordination, and procedural mythology for managing employee and contractor complaints regarding housekeeping. Conducts periodic inspections and assessments of OALC and CFM space at 425 I Street for consistency of quality and accuracy of building maintenance and repairs. Collaborates with 425 I Street building manager on varies issues and concerns of the CFM Tenants.
  • Collaborates with VA Director of Space and Renovation on active issues representing OALC and CFM. Responsible for supporting and maintaining space for OALC and CFM (conducting studies of existing space and analyzing data to anticipate needs for future space). Leads ad hoc teams and/or work groups in the study and evaluation of space requirements to determine space and service needs.
  • Responsible for oversight and management of IT and Non-IT equipment for CFM. Collaborates with OI&T in support of CFM in requirements, maintenance, and acquisitions. Serves as CFM Equipment Inventory Listing (EIL) and manages the CFM Warehouse.
  • Supervisor Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for development of long-range plans for projects in IT Support, Facilities Management, Database and Content Management and logistical needs of CFM.
  • Responsible for supervision of Management and Program Analysts. Responsible for establishing long and short-range goals and overseeing the activities required to meet operational goals and objectives.
  • Accountability for developing performance standards, evaluation of performance, provides advice, counsel or instructions on technical procedures, approval of leave and takes effective disciplinary measures. As the supervisor, the incumbent interviews, selects, promotes, reassigns, and trains employees.
  • Manages and identifies training needs as well as develops performance standards for subordinate employees.
  • Recognizes and develops ways to improve production or increase the quality of work.
  • Work schedule: Required to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

    Qualifications

    To qualify for this position, applicants must meet requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12/07/2020.

    You may qualify based on your experience, as described below:
    • Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-13 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Analysis of space requirements for accommodating tenant needs; AND resolve problems relating to space assignment and use, determine the adequate of building services, furnishings, and fixtures, and schedule space improvements; AND perform audits and inventory analysis of assets. (Evidence of this specialized experience must be supported by detailed documentation of like duties performed in positions held on your resume. You will also need to provide work experience information such as hours per week, salary, and starting/ending dates of employment (month and year format) to establish you have one (1) full year of specialized experience at the required grade level).

    Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.     Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary in an office setting.
