The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience, a valid drivers' license, and ASE certifications (or at-least have the willingness to obtain ASE certs). In this role you would provide preventative maintenance for the District of Columbia's Metropolitan PD Fleet which consists of Ford, Dodge, and GM vehicles.First Vehicle Services (FVS) is proud to offer:Top hourly wages $23-$26; based on experience + ASE bonus money!ASE training and testing materials provided!Tremendous career advancement opportunities.Comprehensive benefits package including company training.A great work environment!As a Light Duty Automotive Technician you will perform maintenance according to FVS standards which consist of:Performing routine automotive maintenance tasks, including fluid changes, ac/heat repair, tire replacement/rotations, wheel alignments and battery installations.Conducting minor diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of problems and provide accurate repair recommendations.Ensuring work orders are completed accurately.Ensuring safe use of power and hand-held tools.Performing road calls and emergency services as necessary.Communicating professionally with team members, and supervisors.Actively participating in safety or educational training as required.Continuous ASE re-certification to remain in job classification.Light Duty Automotive Technician job requirements:5+ years of hands-on automotive repair experience required.Valid driver's license.Must have an appropriate mechanic's tool set.Excellent communication skills.Minimum of 2 ASE Certifications required, will allow candidates 90 days to obtain.Be subject to a drug test and physicalFirst Vehicle Services, a division of FirstGroup, is a leading provider of diverse fleet management and maintenance services in North America.
