Responsibilities

  • Provides expert advice to management and coordinates the development and administration of services for related administrative programs and financial operations.
  • Develops procedures and systems for assessing the effectiveness of programs/management processes.
  • Monitors and provides assistance with acquisitions for organization with telecommunications and information policy mission.
  • Analyze business processes and develop IT solutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness of organization.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Minimum Qualification requirements as noted below.

Specialized Experience for GS-14: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, performing the following duties:
  • Developing and administering information technology applications for electronic transactions, customer relationship management, and workflow management.
  • Improving administrative procedures and advance organizational goals for telecommunications and information policies including: spectrum management, internet policies, and methods for achieving broadband deployment and adoption.
  • Directing and developing plans for project teams or other groups in accomplishing/producing projects.
  • Applying knowledge of acquisition rules and policies to effectively manage and analyze organizational and program resources.

Background Investigation: To ensure the accomplishment of its mission, the Department of Commerce requires each and every employee to be reliable and trustworthy. To meet those standards, all selected applicants must undergo and successfully complete a background investigation for Secret clearance as a condition of placement in this Noncritical-Sensitive/Moderate Risk position.
