Located in Spotsylvania, Virginia, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term temporary opening. What you get to do every single day - Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed - Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks - Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time - Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it - Complete special projects on an as-needed basis - Assist with internal and external audits as needed - Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners - Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling - Manage full-cycle A/P Job Requirements: - Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds - Spreadsheet and database capabilities - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred - Prior experience in an A/P role preferred - Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement - Data entry experience preferred - Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) Accountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches highly skilled professionals with accounting finance jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
