The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the automated packaging and distribution equipment. Your Role The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the automated packaging and distribution equipment. Your Responsibilities Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility s equipment. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Perform all other duties as assigned or needed. Your Skills and Experiences High school diploma or GED required. Ideal candidate will have prior experience in warehouse environment. Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds during site visits Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists Walking in the warehouse and around packaging equipment with great frequency; facilities are 260K Sq Ft Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals), manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation) Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside, noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours Able to work/support all days and shifts, including overtime (24 hours a day, 6 days a week operation, including holidays) Experience in the following areas: oAutomated conveyor systems and controls oRepair of material handling equipment oPredictive/ Preventative maintenance tools and procedures oMetal and wood fabrication oBlueprint and electrical schematic reading oElectrical and electronic principles Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks with minimal supervision. Fluent in English Preferred Skills: Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Safety standards
