Description: This role will be joining the Systems Engineering team to ensure smooth operations and contribute to current and future projects in support of the program. A daily day for this individual will consist of the following: Assessing the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows systems. Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers. Performing cross platform audits of Active Directory (AD) objects and user permissions. Developing organizational units in Active Directory (AD) and managed user security with group policies. Managing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) throughout the Active Directory (AD) enterprise Developing solutions in a growing Microsoft Windows and VMWare based environment and ensuring the availability of virtualization hosts VMWare, AWS, Azure, etc. Daily administration of VMware infrastructure (vSphere 6.5+) including performance tuning and optimization of guests in a virtual environment. Work with Application developers and seasoned application administrators to establish virtual machine memory, CPU, and storage requirements that adhere to basic principles of topology Developing ESXi host profiles to maintain uniformity across clusters in the environment. Creating and managing scripts to perform system tasks with PowerShell experience a plus. Participating in after-hours requests that respond to business emergencies (on-call rotation) Troubleshooting failed SCCM deployments and SCCM health issues Administering SCCM software delivery, including various methods such as running advertised programs, machine targeted, user targeted, Application Library, and Software Center Creating, managing, and administering SCCM software packages and deployments Skills: Windows, active directory, WSUS, Group Policy, VMware, Hyper V, Vsphere Top Skills Details: 1. 9-13 years as a Systems Engineer supporting virtualized Windows environments (2010/2012/2016/VMware, **Hyper-V**, vSphere, Veeam) 2. Heavy experience utilizing system management tools such as SCCM and SCVMM to import and deploy software 3. Experience with AD/ADFS along with troubleshooting of Group Policy and basic DNS, DHCP, DFS, LDAP, etc +Cloud technologies such as AWS/Azure are a plus Additional Skills & Qualifications: Additional preferred qualifications: Proficient in Microsoft Infrastructure components: Microsoft Server 2012/2016, Active Directory, DNS, DFS, DHCP, Group Policy, Exchange, SQL, SharePoint, Office, IIS Proficient with maintaining virtualization environments: Vmware, Hypervisor and Citrix. Experience with Active Directory domains and trusts, security delegation and file share security Experience with remote server administration using HPE iLO, VMware NSX, and NSX Advanced Load Balancer Experience with VMware ESXi, vSphere, SRM, vRealize Operations, Microsoft Windows Server, Windows Clustering, Active Directory, Linux Operating Systems. Strong understanding of Active Directory, particularly with implementing/troubleshooting Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Group Policy Preferences (GPPs) Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server OS, roles and features, management with GUI and PowerShell Experience Level: Intermediate Level About TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
