OVERVIEW The Assistant Manager, Investor Reporting & Regulatory Analyst oversees the investor reporting, accounting, and remittance functions across the organization. The Assistant Manager participates as a subject matter expert on all investor related matters and their relative impact to the individual business units and advises on overall organizational risk. The Assistant Manager assists in organizing team tasks, ensures full participation, structures and maintains team focus. A successful Assistant Manager will work closely with staff to provide subject matter expertise with the day-to-day operational activities related to all investor and regulatory matters throughout the department. Specific accountabilities lie in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of investor reporting and accounting as well as regulatory compliance. The Assistant Manager, Investor Reporting & Regulatory Analyst is a supervisory level position. RESPONSIBILITIES Manage staff, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluations Reviews, monitors, and ensures the accuracy of work related to investor reports and remittances along with related cash movements and accounting entries, reconciliations in accordance with a variety of whole loan and non-agency securities (non-GSE) servicing agreements including Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, Ginnie Mae, Privates, and FHLB Ensures compliance with all investor requirements Provides in-house subject matter expertise on all investor related matters Collaborates with internal partners including Loan Servicing, Default Management, and Secondary Marketing to ensure selling, reporting, reconciliation, and remittance requirements are met Provides investor updates or changes to all applicable parties Maintains knowledge of various servicing agreements and reporting requirements Maintains knowledge of servicing practices, remitting, and systems Maintains and enhances procedures and controls within the monthly process Identifies opportunities for process improvement and efficiencies Assists with audits, projects, and cross functional activities as required Advises management teams, staff, and internal partners on investor-specific issues and challenges and their relative impact on the operational department Implements industry standards, best practices, and investor guidelines Safeguards monthly reconciliations for internal and investor auditing purposes Collaborates with management teams, staff, internal partners, investor and other external parties Maintains and updates SLAs All other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor s Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience Seven to ten years of industry experience working with a variety of whole loan and non-agency securities (non-GSE) servicing agreements including Fannie Mae, Ginnie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and FHLB Knowledge of ever changing regulatory landscape pertaining to investor reporting guidelines and expectations Proven subject matter expertise in investor related matters Excellent analytical abilities to review and solve complex financial issues with a high degree of accuracy Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and a variety of other software Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, within the organization as well as with external stakeholders Excellent customer service skills with strong attention to detail Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload based on department SLA s and member needs Ability to work flexible hours as needed and meet deadlines Ability to multi-task in other areas of the unit Positive attitude and team-oriented spirit Ability to function in an ever changing environment
