The Simulation, Operational Analysis, and Wargaming Group (SOWG) within the OSD Technical Assessment Division (OTAD) provides high-end analytic services to key clients in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) that require application of advanced modeling, simulation, and analysis techniques; innovative wargaming approaches; and detailed knowledge of Joint military operations at all levels of conflict.#IN123 Responsibilities The selected candidate will provide on-site program support to the OSD Strategic Capabilities Office (SCO) located in Arlington and Chantilly, VA. This individual will develop program plans, schedules, milestones, and will monitor technical progress against performance objectives and budget and assist in creating pathways for these technologies to enter into warfighter capability sets. The selected candidate will partner with Service or Defense Agency Program Offices to leverage existing capabilities in new and innovative ways and to provide expertise in relevant technical disciplines. Qualifications Required Qualifications: BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, computer science, data science, physics, or other science and technology related subjects is required. 8+ years of recent and relevant programmatic and technical support experience. Proficient in program management and systems engineering. Knowledge of the current Fleet communication architecture and is familiar with communication integration. Experience as a Surface Warfare Officer in either the Navy or the Coast Guard. Experience as weapons officer or tactical action officer on a surface combatant. An Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance is required; SCI is preferred Desired Qualifications: DAWIA II/III or PMP certification. Cybersecurity for communication. Weapons system integration would also be a plus. 15+ years of recent and relevant programmatic and technical support experience. Experience with commercial ship licensing and class certification processes. Experience with unmanned systems requirements, technology development, or policy.
