This position is located in the Office of the Secretary, Operations Staff. The supervisor is Annette Vietti-Cook. This position is Non-Bargaining Unit.
This position requires no travel and the travel expenses associated with an interview will not be paid. Relocation expenses associated with job offer will not be paid.
This position is not subject to confidential financial disclosure reporting requirements.

Responsibilities
Serves as a Policy Coordinator in the Office of the Secretary and is responsible for providing expert advice and recommendations to the Secretary in administering the Commission scheduling, staff paper, and tracking systems; advising and assisting the Chairman, Commissioners and staff on the planning, scheduling and conduct of Commission business; resolving differing Commissioner positions on pending issues and in planning the Commission schedule; preparing for public and closed Commission meetings, recording actions and requests from the Commission through the Staff Requirements Memoranda (SRM) process; analyzing proposed Commission staff papers for accuracy; identifying substantive policy issues requiring solution among Commissioners; preparing SRMs for issuance by the Secretary reflecting a majority of the Commissioners' views on action items; and coordinating review with Commissioner Assistants and preparing final SRMs.

Qualifications
GG-15: All candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is experience that demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain a system for long range forecasting and planning purposes to assure that important tasks identified by the Chairman and Commissioners are addressed in a timely manner, and that periodic meeting requirements are met. Identifies issues requiring priority staff attention and detailed advanced scheduling.
