The Program Lead for Advocacy Education and Community Affairs in the Child Health Advocacy Institute (CHAI) is responsible for leading innovative public health and advocacy education programs for a diversity of learners, from students to residents to hospital staff to community members, in collaboration with the CHAI Medical Director of Advocacy Education. The Program Lead also works closely with the CHAI Department of Community Affairs to lead school health, youth-focused programs and other community engagement efforts.

Qualifications

Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Work Experience
3 years r elevant work experience (Required)
1 year r elevant work experience with Masters degree (Preferred)

Functional Accountabilities

Program Liaison
1. Lead the program by being the primary point person.

2. Serve as the liaison between CNHS and external stakeholders as needed, including taking and distributing meeting minutes.
3. Manage program specific partnerships with various stakeholders including leadership at affiliated institutions.
4. Communicate barriers, challenges and any other issues that affect progress.

Budget and Financial Management
1. May be responsible for appropriate use of funds and resources.
2. Prepare documentation and projections to support new programs and the budget planning process.
3. Monitor monthly performance reports and budget variances and resolve discrepancies as needed.

Safety
1. Speak up when team members appear to exhibit unsafe behavior or performance
2. Continuously validate and verify information needed for decision making or documentation
3. Stop in the face of uncertainty and takes time to resolve the situation
4. Demonstrate accurate, clear and timely verbal and written communication

1. Assist in the development of project scope statements, timelines, and deliverables; assign work to team members to assure timely completion of project and on budget.
2. Implement project plans according to schedule in order to achieve desired results.
3. Independently conduct comprehensive data gathering and analysis efforts.
4. Coordinates and schedules appointments, meetings and conferences with other CNMC departments and external customers.
