SummaryThe Accounts Receivable Accountant is responsible for managing all day-to-day Accounts Receivable operations including collections, credit, and billing while effectively building a team and establishing/implementing department policies, procedures, and guidelines. Responsibilities* Successfully establish and manage an AR/Collections Team including all training, development, and performance management * Process, post, and reconcile all customer payments received * Set up new customer accounts in ERP system to include conducting credit analysis to determine credit limits and establishing billing terms. * Prepare and analyze Aging Reports to strategize and collect on past due accounts* Generate, process, and issue customer invoices and receipts * Research and resolve all AR/billing discrepancies and escalations * Process customer returns and ensure all chargebacks/deductions are accurately documented, credited, and coded * Monitor transactions for accurate coding to General Ledger, AR subledger and inventory* Perform reconciliations, month-end closing process, and external audits* Develop, implement, and enforce AR, collections, cash applications/deductions, and credit criteria, policies, and procedures * Communicate effectively with customers and internal departments * Assist with the implementation and testing of a new ERP system and continuously provide recommendations for process improvementsJob Requirements:* 5-8 years of AR Management experience, including collections, credit, and billing * Prior success building a team and establishing/implementing policies and procedures * Inventory/Cost Accounting experience within the manufacturing/distribution industry * Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field required * Strong technical skills with ERP system experience and proficiency in Excel; ERP system implementation experience is a plus* Strong interpersonal skills with proven experience successfully building strong relationships and communicating effectively with internal customer service, sales, or warehouse operations departments * Hands on leader able to drive key results while growing the department * Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze reports and strategize best practices * Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner * High attention to detail and level of accuracy* Possesses a positive attitude, proactive approach, and a team player mentality Competitive salary and benefits package offered.
