Raytheon Intelligence & Space is looking for a software engineer with expertise in digital signal processing. The position requires strong engineering skills that include design of real-time signal processing systems. The position also requires knowledge of cloud-based solutions and the ability to refactor traditional system design patterns to those more suited for cloud-based solutions. The software engineer will support a classified signal-processing program and will engage multiple organizations, internal and external to Raytheon, to develop and implement solutions. Join a small, highly-focus team working to develop and maintain signal-processing applications for use in real-time operational environment. Team members are multi-disciplined and contribute across all phases of systems engineering, software development, integration and test, and metrics. The team works closely with operations personnel to meet unique and continuously evolving development needs. The selected candidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance. This position is eligible for a Sign on Bonus up to $40K for a candidate with a current TS/SCI that can be verified and hired at Raytheon Technologies. Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions): * Perform signal processing SME role on signal processing programs to ensure architectures satisfy all requirements * Design, develop, and implement new signal processing products/components that will support enhancing currently deployed signal processing systems * Guide and perform development and implementation of the design of advanced enhanced products * Acts independently and pro-actively seeks to uncover and resolve issues * Design, develop and implement software solutions for existing signal processing system including: * Operations and Maintenance * New features to existing software * Work within constraints of Infrastructure Service Provide Security Requirements: Must have an existing Top Secret SCI clearance with current SSBI within last 5 years active on day 1 of employment Required Skills: * 8+ years of relevant experience in fields of signal processing, software engineering, and architecture of real-time signal processing systems * Experience with software process lifecycle (including Concept of operations, requirements, system design, development, testing, delivery, and system maintenance) * Midas signal processing frameworks (X-Midas, Midas2K) * Digital Signal Processing (FFT, tuning, modulation/demodulation) * Enterprise level programming in C++ * Linux scripting (such as bash, tch, csh, Perl, sh) * Experience with Agile or DevOps practices Desired Skills * Simulation / modeling of signal processing algorithms using MATLAB or similar tools * Candidate must exhibit an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity, resourcefulness, integrity, and teaming skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with coworkers, and customers in a high-paced team environment * Presentation and documentation skills * Enterprise level programming in Java * Python * Git, Bitbucket or related SWCM tools * Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence) * Work with RF sensors * Software architectures, frameworks (including containerization) * Netbeans or Eclipse IDEs * Intel Compiler (C, C++, Fortran, MKL) * Experience with real-time systems Required Education: Requires a bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience If you have the technical knowledge in software engineering and system development (DevOps, Cloud, or Cybersecurity) and the desire to learn and grow in a company with over 60,000 global employees, then Raytheon Technologies is worth the time to explore.
