Our client in Sparks is a Civil Engineering firm. They are looking for a Sr. CAD Designer to join their team.They are looking for someone that:-Has strong written and oral communication skills (can work with team and explain work) work with 5 project managers-Can work with facilities, pump stations, and utilities -Can jump around projects (sometimes will be doing multiple projects at once-Will take initiative -Has experience with utilities (he really harped on this)Transferable Experience: Land development, Land Survey CAD Designer with utility work experienceA successful candidate will have experience with AutoCAD or other related design software (certification is a plus), display extensive design knowledge, and be proficient in detailed design work.AA degree or equivalent education & experience preferred. Applicant should have 8-10 years of progressive drafting and design experience. Consideration will be given to applicants with fewer years of experience if there is a demonstrable work history of performing the essential functions of the position.-Quality Control - Marking up drawings for CAD Designers & Operators -Perform Engineering or Architectural designs including design calculations, specs, and preliminary sketches and notes for drawings -Supervise/mentor other drafters and designers -Coordinate/communicate with clients -Train others in new software -Prepare promotional documentsJob Requirements:A successful candidate will have experience with AutoCAD or other related design software (certification is a plus), display extensive design knowledge, and be proficient in detailed design work.AA degree or equivalent education & experience preferred.
