Electronic Security Systems Estimator

Versar Security Systems (VSS), a fully owned subsidiary of Versar, Inc., has a full-time career opportunity for an Electronic Security Systems (ESS) Estimator for nationwide low voltage installation and integration projects. Versar is growing rapidly and we are recruiting top ESS talent to join our team. Position Description Strong estimating skills with knowledge of ESS system(s) installation materials, labor requirements and overall project management requirements. Ability to prepare estimate from bid documents, blueprints, specifications, or site surveys. In-depth knowledge and experience related to the installation and maintenance of ESS, especially PACS, CCTV/VMS, IDS, and Intercom systems. Knowledge of applicable State, local requirements, IBC and NFPA requirements. Demonstrated PC skills with Excel, Word, as well as experience using a customer database management system. Major Job Functions Reads and interprets blueprints, and/or performs site surveys to gain understanding of scope of project Prepares proposals, submits estimates for new and recurring customers. Position requires visual acuity for PC and written documents; requires good speaking voice for phone interaction and auditory acuity for telephone use as well as digital dexterity for PC use. Develops and maintains working relationship with VSS Distribution channel partners and OEMs. Represents Business Unit at selected industry trade shows. Education Requirements BS in Electronics Technology, Electronic Systems Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or related fields. PSP Certification or similar desired.
