OneMain is using PostgreSQL for our enterprise database. You will provide enterprise support for PostgreSQL applications supporting over ten thousand users. Maintain highly available system supporting PostgreSQL database spanning multiple data centers. Work with business owners, developers and other groups to design strong reliable solutions. Apply and manage the patch life cycle for all PostgreSQL systems Define standard practices and procedures for operational support. Ensure systems are running at the highest possible performance level. Tune and optimize database performance. Assist with database architecture design and configuration. Build and maintenance highly available systems to ensure maximum up time. Manage system security and protect PII data. Support applications running across multiple data centers. Collaborate with Product Owners, Designers, and other developers to find the best solution possible. Provide online and on call coverage for production support and administration. Requirements 5+ years PostgreSQL DBA experience in an enterprise environment Strong Linux skills and associated applications. BASH and other shelling scripting and automation skills. Ability to work in a very structure change control process.
