We Are Hiring Registered Nurse Educator - Oncology with Saint Agnes Hospital Cancer Institute in Baltimore, Maryland We are looking for a highly motivated Registered Nurse Educator to join our well respected and highly regarded Cancer Institute in Baltimore, Maryland. The ideal candidate will be ONC Certified and have a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Your role as an educator, facilitator, change agent, leader, consultant and researcher in your area of expertise will serve to meet the needs of our patients and care teams. Your experience and background in clinical informatics is also essential as you will be responsible for orienting new members of our care team to our EMR systems and process. What You Will Do: You will be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of orientation programs, staff development and continuing education programs for our nursing and nursing support associates within the Cancer Institute. You will utilize your clinical background in Oncology and your critical thinking and problem-solving experience to: * Collaborate with nurse managers and other leaders to assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities for our Cancer Institute Associates. * You will implement a variety of teaching strategies tailored to the learner's characteristics learning needs, cultural perspectives and outcome objectives. * Plan nursing professional development programs that are culturally relevant and incorporate concepts of multicultural and multigenerational education. * Apply nursing and learning theoretical and conceptual foundations as a basis for developing nursing professional development programs for the areas of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiation therapy treatment protocols. * Promote participation in professional organizations for yourself and others. * Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs and utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals. * Promote performance improvement protocols and a culture of high reliability and accountability. * Participate in applicable accreditation/certification surveys and inspections * Saint Agnes Healthcare Cancer Institute serves the greater Baltimore area providing care and treatment protocols for individuals diagnosed with Cancer. As part of the multidisciplinary care team, you will partner with our Medical Director, pharmacy, spiritual care, nutritionists, clinical nurse specialists and other members of our Oncology Care Team to tailor the care plans and support services for our patients.
