Minimum Qualifications :

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Education, Organizational Development or related field.

Four to six years in training or supervising training programs with an emphasis on eLearning and data management.

Highly proficient in use of HRIS and scheduling software to analyze, report on and manage training data.

Or, Associates degree in Education, Training & Development or related field and 8 years of experience in training or the evaluation of training programs.


Training experience in a passenger transportation environment.

Bachelor's degree in Transportation Administration.

Job Summary/Essential Functions:

This position is responsible for tracking and incorporating training data and training results in support of BTRA Training. Supervise the compilation and electronic storage of BTRA reporting data in WMATA's eLearning system and ancillary training databases. The position will supervise the development of reports and the collection of training data and operational information, ensuring that relevant data is incorporated into the development of BRTA operational training programs. The individual will coordinate findings and recommendations with the Performance and Program Development group for the initiation of new or the improvement of existing training programs.

Supervises the collection of regulatory operations/training information to include Bus Operator Refresher Training, FTA Corrective Action Plan mandatory training requirements and training instructional design and development for the BTRA department.

Supervises the development, implementation and evaluation of training standards and program materials and documentation pertaining to the ongoing operational training needs of Central Training and the Operating Divisions.

Monitors and directs staff responsible for delivery of operational and regulatory reports.

Coordinates the integration and findings from the collected data into existing training programs and recommends improvements or suggestions for new programs to the Performance and Program Development group.

Makes recommendations based on collected operational and training data for the purpose of updating the training department's and BTRA's KPI.
