For more company information, visit our site at -cna.com/Pages/Home.aspx SUMMARY Strategic Communications Specialist will produce executive communications products for the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Director's Action Group (DAG) that may include multi-media services, presentations, speeches, testimony and remarks for all strategic engagements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Will work with the team to develop executive level communications and products, including speeches, briefings, talking points, scripts, notes and other executive messaging in support of the DHA Director's priorities. Advise the DHA Director and provide expert analysis, guidance and messaging around complex and sensitive situations affecting Military Health. Establish and maintain effective and professional liaison with counterparts across the DHA and other organizations in the DoD. Manage client deliverables and track ongoing needs and requests of our team. Travel locally as needed to support client engagements and activities. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY This position will not have supervisory authority. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree required and 3 years of related experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Proven ability in planning and delivering executive level communications strategies that include both internal and external audiences. Must be able to pass a US Government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Comfortable working with senior executives in health care setting or in the federal government. Capable of working collaboratively with teams - military, government civilian, and contractor personnel. Work well under the pressure associated with multiple short-notice deadlines. Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to effectively translate lengthy and technical information into concise, easy to read content. Excellent writing skills a must. Ability to execute in a bureaucratic environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and InDesign preferred. Must be able to obtain a secret-level security clearance. WORK ENVIRONMENTThe duties of this position are primarily performed in a climate-controlled office environment. Occasional travel and overnight stay may be required.
