Responsibilities

This position is located in the Office of Energy Policy and Innovation (OEPI) at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The incumbent will work in Administration and Operations Support. OEPI coordinates the development of policies and rules that address emerging challenges in the electric and natural gas industries. The Administration and Operations staff directs the administrative, human resource, budget, workload tracking, data collection, and strategic and business planning operations of OEPI.

Major duties of the position include:
  • Serves as liaison with FERC's Human Resources team on a variety of administrative issues.
  • Performs a variety of human resources related activities including processing various personnel actions.
  • Assists in managing utility administrative services to ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the OEPI.
  • Provides advice and assistance to all OEPI staff concerning a variety of programs including logistics, ATMS, time and labor, accountable property management, travel and training, etc.
  • Assists in the management of OEPI administrative materials. Maintains this information reflecting program and management activities and produces periodic reports using this data.

Qualifications

Candidates must have one full year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 level. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience in performing a variety of human resources and administrative services for a large organization.
