Our client is looking for someone to specialize on their project team helping with PCMAC, desktop, and server deployments for their clients. You will be working with a lead engineer on rack and stack servers and staging them as well as deployment of desktops, PCs and MACs. There will be basic networking troubleshooting required. There is some travel to going onto client sites when needed but most of the day will be spent in the Centerville, MD office. This growing company's Help Desk Analyst position might be right for you. Service Desk Analysts represent the Service Desk by liaising with 2nd and 3rd level teams to help transition new and changing services. This includes creating knowledge articles and arranging training for other Service Desk Analysts when needed. This is the perfect job for you if you want work where you will spend most of your time handling complex end-user support issues and providing support to team members by focusing on restoring service to the end users. How your role as the Help Desk Analyst relates to IT projects and IT Service Management initiatives is also important. This position absolutely must understand Incident, Problem, Change Management and other processes. What you get to do every day - Understand concepts related to networks, servers, PCs, databases, proprietary systems, etc. - Troubleshoot end user issues Provide root-cause analysis on various web and mobile applications handle escalated tickets relating to servernetwork related issues - Understand and utilize ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, etc.) and how they are used in a corporate environment - Maintain hardware and peripherals Responsible for upgrading and replacing computer parts handle documentation and asset inventory - Meet and exceed SLA standards Close tickets in a timely manner, while upholding customer service standards - This position must facilitate user account management by closing tickets in a timely manner, while upholding customer service standards - Provide guidance to Tier 1 support and team members Requirements - 2+ years of experience supporting desktopserver operating systems and technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, Exchange and VMware - Basic experience with VMware and ESXi servers. - Candidates who have a combination of superior customer service skills and technical aptitude will be preferred - Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows Server - Basic Experience with Network Troubleshooting - Expertise in Microsoft Windows 10 - Strong familiarity with Microsoft Windows 7 in an Active Directory environment - Foundational knowledge in Firewall - Demonstrated knowledge of Deployment Tools - Adeptness in Deployment Processes - This position requires technical skills to serve as escalation point for handling incidents and service requests related to application, operating system and other service related problems - Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical - Possess skill set to successfully analyze complex business problems, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction - Critical thinking, problem solving, ability to work independently - Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) - Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision Robert Half Technology matches IT professionals with some of the best companies on a temporary, project or full-time basis.
