Amarx Search, Inc. amarx.com Full Time position in Dulles, VA - Position ID 2163 An excellent position with a large defense technology company delivering innovative mission solutions Lead - Technical Support Engineering - Network Red Hat Please apply ONLY if you have an active DoD Secret Clearance (or higher), Red Hat, and Network skills You must currently be a United States Citizen (government related work) Visa sponsorship is not available for this position We can ONLY consider your application if you have 1 Active Secret or above US Government security clearance 2 Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience 3 5+ years of hands-on experience with network equipment 4 5+ years working knowledge of Layer-3, VPNs, OSPF, firewall policy, and VLAN management 5 Bachelorrsquos Degree or higher 6 9+ years prior relevant experience (6 years with Masters) 7 ElectronicNetwork systems integration, assembly or test experience required 8 Verifiable NetworkSys Admin operations skill set and experience with network troubleshooting 9 Network+ certification or equivalent We are looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer skilled in network systems architectures and requisite Red Hat Linux background. This person will be responsible for supporting Operations Maintenance, documentation, report requirements, integration, troubleshooting andor testing analysis of network architectureoperating systems and applications. Additionally, this person will lead a skilled team of network technicians and engineers. DESIRED (not required) SKILLS Security+ certification or equivalent Management experience of technical teams Must be detail-oriented and organized Excellent written and verbal communications skills Working knowledge of Atlassian products such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket Knowledge of certificate-based security (TLS, SSL, OCSP) Knowledge of Windows operating systems Experience implementing patches for IA vulnerability alerts (IAVA), IA vulnerability bulletins (IAVB), and technical advisories (TA) for the CE operating system(s). Knowledge of object-oriented databases MySql experience preferred Experience developingusing scripting languages such as PERL, Python, Bash, etc. required Knowledge of networking elements, including TCPIP protocols ports, DNS, NAT, subnet masks, etc. Experience interpreting connection logs IP Config information Security+ certification or equivalent Management experience of technical teams Must be detail-oriented and organized Excellent written and verbal communications skills Working knowledge of Atlassian products such as JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket Knowledge of certificate-based security (TLS, SSL, OCSP) Knowledge of Windows operating systems Experience implementing patches for IA vulnerability alerts (IAVA), IA vulnerability bulletins (IAVB), and technical advisories (TA) for the CE operating system(s). Evaluate vendor products and recommend purchases consistent with the organization's short and long-term objectives. Recommend and implement network policies and procedures and ensure adherence to security procedures. Help troubleshoot, analyze, and maintain networks. Troubleshoot and resolve medium to complex network issues. Leads Tier IIIII support staff May require after-hours, phone or on-site support. Provide in-depth knowledge and technical expertise in the areas of design, installation, maintenance, and support of network infrastructure following established methodologies and processes. Perform hardware scans, analysis, and documenting findings. Supportfacilitate customer meetings and ensure compliance with project requirements. Perform extensive root cause analysis, problem determination and support of technical issues related to routing and switching technologies, eg VPN, basic router configurations, firewalls, etc. Strong written and spoken communication skills. Assist in planning and implementing the necessary hardware, software and telecommunications equipment to maintain andor enhance the customer's local and wide-area networks.
