These tasks may include developing instructional materials and/or web-based publications, as well as supporting training courses and demonstrations.Essential Functions:Builds, aligns and qualifies precision opto-mechanical assemblies and systemsDisassemble and re-assembles, aligns and qualifies subassemblies and systems down to piece-part levelInspects optical components for damageCleans UV optical components, such as mirrors, beam splitters, polarizers, wave plates, and lensesDe-bonds and re-mounts optical components in lens cellsMaintains equipment and ensures calibration needs are metFacilitates training events and assists instructor as neededAssists training developer with course developmentWorks with engineering to evaluate and implement process improvementsEnsures proper operation of equipment by performing scheduled preventative maintenanceActively participates in building a collaborative and productive team environmentQualifications: TS/SCI w/Poly2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experiencePrevious experience operating precision hand tools such as micrometers and calipersPreferred Additional Skills:Understanding of basic shop math such as ratios, graphs, algebra, and basic geometryExperience with Microsoft Office and computer proficientThe ideal candidate will have previous experience in optical fabricationby Jobble
