Summary

The position is located within the Data Quality and Production Branch of the Production and Analysis Division in the Judiciary Data and Analysis Office (JDAO). The incumbent will be a self-motivated individual who supports management of the data process of several programs to include collection, data quality, and reporting.

Responsibilities

Duties to include but not limited to:
  • Managing a data process that includes data collection, data quality, and data reporting.
  • Maintaining knowledge of data elements, data policies, business rules, systems, and reports to answer questions/inquiries related to data collection and data reporting.
  • Ensuring data quality by performing all data quality review and quarter close activities.
  • Developing queries and reports for use in managing data acquisition and data quality reviews.
  • Responding to inquiries for data reporting from the courts, other AO offices, other Judiciary entities, other government entities, and the public by creating ad-hoc queries as well as providing standard/routine reports, tables, and extracts.
  • Performing basic data/trend analysis to understand and monitor data from both the data collection and data reporting perspective.
  • Researching and identifying common errors and monitoring error frequency, trends, and types of errors within and across programs and source systems.

  • All new AO employees will be required to complete a FBI fingerprint-based national criminal database and records check and pass a public trust suitability check.
  • All new AO employees must identify a financial institution for direct deposit of pay before appointment.
  • You will be required to serve a trial period if selected for a first-time appointment to the Federal government, transferring from another Federal agency, or serving as a first-time supervisor. Failure to successfully complete the trial period may result in termination of employment.
  • If appointed to a temporary position, management may have the discretion of converting the position to permanent depending upon funding and staffing allocation.
  • Relocation expenses may be provided, but only if authorized by the Director of the AO.


  • Qualifications

    Applicants must have demonstrated experience as listed below. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, and Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions.

    Specialized Experience : Applicants must have at least one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience managing teams responsible for data collection, analyses and reporting.
    A bachelor's degree is desired but not required.
