You will work on an interdisciplinary team including: geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, roadway engineers, estimators, schedulers and construction experts to perform engineering analysis, design, and estimates in support of design-build pursuits and ongoing projects.You will be part of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Design Department, which includes structural, geotechnical, civil, drainage, roadway, rail/transit and systems, and materials disciplines, is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit with best-in-class technical expertise focused on the design-build delivery of infrastructure projects.District OverviewKiewit Infrastructure Engineerings Design-Build team is driving clients to turn to Kiewit during all stages of design-build projects. Through our integrated design and construction approach, our multi-disciplinary team works together to improve schedule, control costs and minimize risk. Our construction-focused engineers work collaboratively with our estimators and builders to design solutions that are innovative, constructible, and designed with a focus on safety. LocationThis position is based out of our McLean, VA Office.ResponsibilitiesDevelop preliminary engineering design and detail engineering design for facility electrical and traction power systems for people mover, light rail, heavy rail, and commuter rails systems.Perform load calculations and coordination study for facility electrical and traction power systems utilizing engineering software, like ETAPDevelop technical reports and white paper Perform field survey and field testQualifications2-4 years relavant engineering experienceBachelors Degree in electrical engineeringGreat written and verbal communication skills2+ yrs of experience of working in traction power area.Rail / Transit background is a PLUS.Ability to travel as business requires.Proficient in 2D and 3D AutoCAD softwareProficient in MS office suite. #LI-MD1 We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
