Position Title: Signal Processing Engineer Contract Duration: current POP is 2022, but has had contract since 1997 and expected to renew again. Work Location: Dulles, VA or Aurora, CO Project Details: In this highly classified, hands-on role, you will support a real-time digital signal-processing program's migration from Midas2K to X-Midas. You will be called upon leverage your design and engineering skills to refactor traditional system design patterns into cutting edge cloud-based solutions. "Must-Have Skills: (Stack rank in order of priority. Most critical skill listed first & what they need to be capable of doing with each technology)" Active TS/SCI 6+ years of experience within signal processing and software engineering Expertise with Midas signal processing frameworks (X-Midas, Midas2K) Experience with digital signal processing (FFT, tuning, modulation/demondulation) Nice-To-Have Skills: Familiarity with tools such as Bitbucket, Git, Jira, Confluence Exposure to C2S (AWS Commercial Cloud Services) Experience with programming in Java/C++ in a RHEL environment Linux scripting experience (bash, tch, csh, Perl, sh) Education & Certifications: Bachelor's Degree Daily Responsibilities: Operate within all phases of software process lifecycle (Concept of operations, requirements, system design, development, testing, delivery, and system maintenance) Simulation / modeling of signal processing algorithms using MATLAB or similar tools Work closely with operations personnel to meet unique and continuously evolving development needs. Perform signal processing to ensure architectures satisfy all requirements Develop, design and implement new signal processing products/components that will support enhancing currently deployed signal processing systems Guide and preform development and implementation of the design of advanced new products Design, develop and implement software solutions for existing signal processing system including: Operations and Maintenance New features to existing software Work within constraints of Infrastructure Service Provide
