Through interactive virtual sessions via video chat, DreamWakers connects classrooms across the US with dynamic role models in a wide array of professional sectors, shedding light on the real-world applicability of course lessons, while inspiring the next generation of leaders to envision and prepare for their own future.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSDreamWakers seeks an Associate who is a strategic thinker with:Passion for education equality and social impact initiatives that deliver opportunities for students in under-resourced schools across America;Exceptional written and oral communication and interpersonal skills;Superior attention to detail; ability to appropriately plan, organize, and execute multiple, sometimes competing demands efficiently in a challenging environment;Demonstrated ability to recruit and engage passionate partners in public and private sectors, with experience in volunteer/relationship management and/or communications preferred;Commitment to the overall goals and vision of DreamWakers.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEA bachelors degree and a minimum of two years of professional experience required.POSITION DUTIESThe Program Associate is primarily responsible for the design and day-to-day implementation of DreamWakers volunteer and community management strategy.Utilize best practices and innovative strategies to recruit and retain exceptional role models to enhance DreamWakers vast network of volunteers and to meet all educator flashchat requests;Build and strengthen relationships with more than 600 speakers, corporate allies and programming partners;Manage databases, calendars, and scheduling to ensure flashchat goals are met;Develop annual/quarterly plans that include overarching strategies, organizational infrastructure plans, evaluation metrics, and forecasts of demand for volunteer needs;Assist with fundraising efforts, drafting reports to donors in a timely manner, promoting the work of DreamWakers as a whole, and actively soliciting and following up with potential new donors to achieve fundraising goals;Leverage relationships with volunteers to identify areas for future business development and support a diverse pipeline of Advisory Council members;Manage tracking, analysis, and reporting of programming metrics to DreamWakers team, Advisory Council, and Board; Identify areas of improvement within flashchat and volunteer recruitment processes, based on rigorous assessment of metrics;Support DreamWakers communications activities by supporting the creation of graphics, blog posts, newsletters, and content themes;Foresee risks and allow for contingencies when planning; monitor and pivot program plans and actions as necessary;Embrace a relentless innovative and entrepreneurial spirit;All other duties as assigned.DreamWakers is an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate in its hiring practices and, in order to build the strongest possible workforce, actively seeks a diverse applicant pool.
