The ideal candidate should have the following: Responsibilities 1. Communicate effectively with all levels of customers including administrators, staff, students and vendors 2. Installs and supports new devices along with accompanying software (These devices can include computers, tablets, projectors, document cameras as examples) 3. Coordinates the repair of student and teacher laptop computers including performing diagnostic repair procedures 4. Installs and configures supported device operating systems 5. Performs routine diagnostics and maintenance with multiple operating systems 6. Installs and configures applications and other supported software packages 7. Tests new releases for supported systems 8. Performs network support and troubleshooting duties 9. Provides consultation and/or training to teachers, staff and students on the operation of technology equipment and software packages 10. Troubleshoots hardware and software issues 11. Assists teachers with resolving device related problems 12. Integrates knowledge and skills from a range of technologies to address work assignments and problems of moderate complexity 13. Coordinates with vendors when necessary 14. Participates as team member on small and/or large projects 15. Records activities in the work order system 16. Updates/Creates internal supported system documentation Required Skills 17. Minimum of three (3) years experience installing, upgrading, troubleshooting and maintaining device software 18. Knowledge of Windows and Apple hardware and software platforms 19. Ability to perform technical tasks with minimal supervision 20. Must be able to follow oral and written directions 21. Any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered. 22. Must have own transportation and valid driver's license (Required license must be maintained throughout employment in this position) Job Requirements: Install and configure desktop software Troubleshoot all desktop installed software Identify network problems involving desktop or laptop computers Manage accurate inventory of desktop hardware Configure desktop hardware and software for new and existing users Resolve moderate end-user hardware/software problems including remote access software Ensure desktop software license compliance Resolve technical problems with desktop equipment and software Maintain desktop software and hardware and also support mobile workforce Perform installation, configuration and upgrades on desktop hardware and software Install new hardware, software and upgrades on desktop computers, and laptops Customize desktop applications to meet user Build and configure desktop and laptop computers for new users Maintain printers and related hardware/software Work primarily with desktop, and laptop hardware and software Perform onsite technical support to address desktop/laptop issues Troubleshoot computer hardware and software problems Provide expert level support of all desktop and network hardware and software applications Resolve technical hardware and software issues Resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software
