Summary

This position is located in the US Department of the Treasury, Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP), located in Washington, DC, Center for Excellence (CE), Manufacturing Training Branch, reporting directly to the Manager, Manufacturing Training Branch in Washington, DC. The incumbent serves as a Management and Program Analyst and is responsible for identifying and monitoring program requirements and plans in direct support of the Currency Quality Assurance (CQA) Training Roadmap Program.

Responsibilities

As a Management and Program Analyst, you will:
  • Oversee administrative procedures related to activities such as information processing and documentation systems for reports, data collection, correspondence, record keeping, information dissemination, and technical presentations.
  • Direct the use of job profiles, to identify the required skills, competencies and training for employees, and documentation in training profiles and competency models.
  • Update applicable policies and procedures to related reference training profiles.
  • Oversee the review of informal (on the job) training to ensure consistency across the directorate and evaluates for inclusion in the formal training program.
  • Determine applicable training Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of the training program (training profiles and competency training) and establishes a reporting mechanism for Management Review.

SUITABILITY, CLEARANCE & REQUIREMENTS: A background investigation will be required for all new hires. Appointment will be subject to the applicant's successful completion of a background investigation and favorable adjudication. Failure to successfully meet these requirements will be grounds for disqualification in the hiring process. The background investigation process conducted by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing is very thorough. Therefore it is imperative that applicants exercise candor and honesty when answering background questionnaires, especially as it relates to arrest, employment, education, finances, illegal drug use, and/or other criminal history. Falsification discovered in security documents or during the background investigation process may result in an immediate negative suitability determination or immediate revocation of your interim clearance (if applicable).

Qualifications

For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.

Specialized experience for this position includes:
  • Experience in program management, developing comprehensive plans and strategies to recommend solutions and meet organizational goals.


Examples may include:
  • Experience using analytical and evaluative techniques to analyze and assess administrative and/or technical programs.
  • Experience managing a training program.
  • Experience communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, authoring briefings and/or reports to disseminate program milestones to stakeholders and senior leaders.
  • Experience providing guidance to a team ensuring alignment with program goals and objectives.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:

For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.
